Communicating with Coaches Getting Noticed

Putting Together Your Student-Athlete Resume

Along with being seen, you will need to put together a Student- Athlete Resume, your profile that will give coaches a quick look at your accomplishments, measurements and contact information. Putting together this profile will be one of your first priorities, a task that you will need to do BEFORE you begin to reach out to coaches.

There are two examples to use as you format your information. When including accomplishments or stats, be sure to put the most impressive notes on top. Coaches and staff can get hundreds of these each week, they may be scanning piles of these, and if your highlights aren’t jumping off the page in 20 seconds, they’ll likely move on to the next player.
